My new Necron army list XD

This is the army list i used against tom the other day against his marines, comments are welcome

1 lord - (Destroyer body, Phase shifter, Resurrection orb, Warscythe) - 210 pts
1 lord - (Resurrection orb) - 140 pts

Troops

10 x Necron Warriors - 180 pts
10 x Necron Warriors - 180 pts
10 x Necron Warriors - 180 pts

Fast attack

5 x Destroyers - 250 pts
3 x Wraiths - 123 pts

Heavy support

1 x Monolith

Total - 1498 pts

I thought this worked out pretty well, and I wanted to experiment with a new army list

How careful do you have to be with the destroyer lord? Being as he accompanies the wraiths he could get picked off easily, i always have a small bodyguard at least with my HQ, just as bodyshields.

Well at toughness 6 he is quite hard to take down, and he has a resurrection orb if that happens, also he gets a phase shifter which gives him a 4+ invunerable save, so ap 2/1 weapons won't be a problem to him either.

4+ aint the best believe me i know!! i felt the wrath of tom once more!!

While this is true the do the points cost make it efficient, say if you were against non-power weapon people or low AP weapons is it worth it?

Well someone who wouldn't field at least 1 AP 3 weapon or any power weapons in a 1500 pt army would be rather stupid... The majority of people would, so just in case I would field the 4+ invulnerable save, as you cant adjust your army list after seeing the opponents... that's cheating...

I'm just saying , if the save was better i could see it being better, but the save is not great and ur enemy could just avoid wasting
armour piercing weapons against that model

A lord that can be picked out (as he isn't with a unit) that can move 18" a turn (Into assault anyway) ignores armour saves and invunerable saves, and has toughness 6 and can come back to life, would you let that wander around assaulting your men, or would you try stop it as soon as possible?

Personally i'd use a decoy unit, without power wepons so the 4+ inv sv would be pointless

Well he would cut them down pretty quick, as he moves with a unit of wraiths, and i wouldn't personally get him into combat with smaller units, but send him straight to the bigger, more dangerous units. As he can move up to 18" into assault, should be to hard to get him about ;D

You have a point, but against a large decoy unit he'd be slogging for nothing.

Yea i suppose... But even in a big unit of decoys he would be tough to kill, as you wouldn't use a more powerful unit against it, so say strength 3-4 against toughness 6... thats 6+ to wound...

I'm not saying he'd die, i'm saying the 4+ inv save is pointless if people use decoys

And he would have his hands full for a while... :/ that's why deceiver is awesome, he can exit CC at will
